PRE MOMMA SHOPPING LIST, AMAZON LINKS, CHECK LISTS & REGISTRY SUPPORT

Updated: Aug 4

I know this is a skincare clinics website and usually a resource for skincare and healthy beauty practices; but as I enter this new chapter of my life, I have really been wanting to share my experience and what items I purchased to help ease this transition. Yes, it may be off the skincare path but seeing as I work with many, many mommas; I knew this would be a helpful resource regardless of it not being in my typical realm of skincare!

I have another Amazon blog that many of you have loved and shopped from, so how could this be any different!? If you know me, you know I love sharing! I love sharing a good sale, a wicked find, a useful tip or my newest obsession! This is one way I can share with you the things I love, have used and recommend! Many of these items were originally recommendations that I received, and here I am now sharing them with you! That’s how word of mouth and good items get shared!

These items are great suggestions even if you are on baby number 5! Get ready to enjoy shopping some good items in this blog! As a first-time momma myself, I was so excited to create this resource to help ease the pressure (and let’s face it, the time) to find the best item, or what items we should look for, have or add to our registry etc. I absolutely loved when I received a recommendation and or a direct link! A lot of these recommendations are from friends of mine who already have a few kiddos and/or from my amazing, lovely, supportive clients! You likely will even see your own suggestion or recommendation in this blog! Mamas helping Mamas; let's keep that trend alive!

I added items and links from our Amazon registry for easy, quick shopping! Simply click the button to add to cart or add to your registry! We had an Amazon registry and a SnuggleBugz registry. From time to time, I did shop other stores in general which I will share! I will make note of other items we purchased and little reno updates we did to make room for baby girl! Even though you will see a few items we purchased not from Amazon (so it won’t have a direct link to the product) I still thought it would be helpful to browse a few other recommendations to check out and or consider! For other items that aren’t from Amazon don’t forget to download the downloadable PDF Registry Support Document.  The amazon links are affiliated with me! So thank you for supporting my business in all of the ways, as I get a small commission from each sale.

MOMMA'S HOSPITAL BAG ITEMS:

To note, alot of these items if not all of them are suitable for Postpartum recovery in general! Ordering a few quantities per item may even be necessary!

For our hospital bag (packing my stuff, my husband’s stuff and general birth items- downloadable check list provided) we used a big travel suitcase. This was recommended to us by my step sister! Smart play ahead idea that I adopted and of course, here I am sharing this tip! Much easier to transport than a bunch of bags. Especially for when going home with an extra bundle of joy in your hands. Extra helpful for those C section Mama's too!

In addition to our large rollie travel bag we also have a cooler bag (for snacks & pad-sicles), diaper bag for little baby and my Marc Jacobs Large Tote for all the miscellaneous other things. So still quite the haul, but imagine if it was 2-3 more bags (minimally, I am not a light packer). The roller bag is going to be such a saving grace.

LETS PACK YOUR BAGS

Ultra Soft PJ Set: This set is unreal. Momma or not! The fabric is to die for, and I love a good cute matching set. This is a t-shirt and pant duo. I ordered black so that I could wear it during my hospital stay and postpartum. Since diapers and blood is to be expected, black was the safest choice.

Stretchy Cotton HeadBands (3PK): Here is your pain free, hair out of the face solution! I always want to look cute with headbands but after wearing them for a while I get a headache and pain behind the ears! So I've been playing with these to style them with my hair. I thought these would be perfect for the hopital but also just mom life in general! A 3pk with all the essential colours (white, grey, black) feel fee to add some color to your hair game!

Frida Mom Disposable Underwear: Order a number of these! I packed them for my hospital bag and have a few ready for my postpartum home recovery. You will see some of the same links throughout this blog, this being one of them! I ordered one box (which is a pack of 8) and kept all 8 in the sealed bag and packed that in my hospital bag. The others are around the house and in my bathroom postpartum baskets.

Lanolin Nipple Cream: Nipple cream along with using breast milk is apparently a must for those raw nipples. Instantly this was ordered and put into my hospital bag. Another item that having a few on hand is important. One for hospital / diaper bag and one for home (either for the change table and or bathroom baskets).

14-Pack Organic Washable Nursing Pads : I am so happy that so many came in this set. I packed about 4 pairs in my hospital bag and have the others ready to go for home. I also have reusable throwaway nursing pads, but wanted these too! Super soft material and came with a travel and laundry bag!

Tucks Healing Pads: I haven’t used these yet, but I am sure I will be coming back with raving reviews. I am about to enter an entirely new part of life where my product recommendations will be more about healing and postpartum care than sunscreen and face cleansers haha!

Travel Pillow: We have regular size pillows packed for the both of us, but I also thought packing a smaller, traveler pillow might be helpful. Especially because it folds up, kts super easy to pack! Better to have then not right?!

40 OZ Water Bottle: The size of this water bottle is my favourite thing! It is also insulated so water stays cold for a long time! I am also a straw girlie, and this has that option as well as a regular pour spout. I have many water bottles, but this one I use for long days and or travel days since I can lay it down and pack it in my bag without it leaking! The bottom has a hidden compartment that is perfect for medication and vitamins! So many wins with this water bottle!

Heating Pad: Sometimes heat can help with the pain and provide a level of comfort! A beautiful suggestion from our Doula, so its packed and ready to go!

BABY HOSPITAL DIAPER BAG:

I got our diaper bag from Beis online. I ordered the Ultimate Diaper Backpack (black).

Muslin Swaddle Blanket: I ordered the Neutral 2Pack(Olive). As much as we know this baby is a little girl, I still am a lover for the neutrals. Not only in preparation for using them for future kids, but also to wrap up this little princess. I am a beige mom with a hint of sparkles and bows. Perfect to cuddle your newborn during your hospital stay!

BATHROOM BASKET ESSENTIALS for POSTPARTUM RECOVERY:

You will see a lot of the same items from the hospital bag list. I told you those items would be postpartum care as well. I was told to create a basket for every bathroom in the house and have these items. Especially if you will be on multiple floors with baby! I have a basket (I just got from the Dollar Store) for our main floor bathroom and one for our master bathroom.

Tucks Healing Pads: Healing and keeping the area free from infection is important! I heard these are a great option for this and for hemorrhoid healing. I have not used these yet, but I am sure I will be coming back with raving reviews. I am about to enter an entirely new part of life where my product recommendations will be more about healing and postpartum care than sunscreen and face cleansers haha!

Frida Mom Perineal Medicated Cooling Pads: You can order these and or make your own pad-sicles. Again, making sure the area stays clean and heals is a big priority. That's the theme with all these product recommendations.

Frida Mom Healing Foam: Pump this foam into the Frida Mom Disposable underwear. Especially since you will be sensitive and healing properly is a big focus it is important to have essentials like these to help heal, soothe and keep infection away.

Frida Mom Disposable Underwear: I was recommended these as they are the shorts version, apparently much better than the underwear with the built in pad. Simply do your after-bathroom care with your pads etc. Apply the foam directly to the underwear and pull up! It may not sound glorious or glamourous, but it’s what we gotta do!

Frida Mom Upside down Peri Bottle: Also, a recommendation, I could not find an amazon link (sorry). I purchased mine from SnuggleBugz. This is to help ensure the area can stay clean. A gentle flow of water to rinse the area since wiping after birth is not something you'll be (or wanting to be doing). Seems that Frida Mom is the go-to brand! Search to find this item and add it to your at home baskets. The hospitals will give you a few after birth, but rumour has it,they are not as good as this option!

BABY CLOTHES:

Hats, Mitts & Sock Package: Still neutrals with a hint of girlie! A perfect blend of a few items you will need, and of course let's keep it cute and trendy!

Short Sleeve Baby Onesie (5 Pack): Choose your pattern and your size! I found ordering some of these online so easy and convenient. Especially when she is here, I can see this being a go too if I need a few more - I love a quick shop without leaving the house with fast delivery. This means you can choose as neutral as you want and or as gender targeting as you want! Baby shopping is so fun!

Plain White baby Socks (PKG of 12): Who doesn't need a pack of white socks! Chose the size you need for your baby and add it to your cart. White socks for any outfit on the way! It's that easy!

Muslin Baby Drool Bibs: Protect those cute outfits from the endless drool! I ordered the pack of neutral pastels! It's one thing to have a bunch of bibs for feeding time, but these are also just as important!

I also shopped some cute outfits and onesies at Winners, H&M, Carters, The OVer Company, Indigo and Old Navy! I even got some cute items ON SALE!

SNUGGLES:

Muslin Swaddle Blanket: Another item that was suggested earlier and that’s packed in our hospital bag. It's in our hospital bag and its coming home with us for future cuddles. I ordered the Neutral 2Pack(Olive).

FYI: I also got some Swaddles from Winners(SO silky soft) I know Winners is always first come first serve, so I love/hate recommending that store because who knows what you'll find! It's the type of store that if you see it you need to buy it right away (even if you don’t need it yet) because it might not be there tomorrow/ when you do need it!

BABY BATH TIME:

ATTITUDE Shampoo and Body Wash for Baby with Sensitive Skin: Protecting and caring for their skin is so important! Knowing not to over wash their cute little bodies but also knowing what to use to avoid irritation or future skin problems is so important! ATTITUDE is a super safe and a caring baby brand. You will see this brand recommended for a lot of baby care items as well as home use items in regards to baby! PS. Attitude is a fantastic brand! If you want to check your items and make sure they are safe for you and baby you can use the App YUKA. This will show you the safety ratings of the products! Attitude scores very well! Hence the recommendation! Here is my screen shot for example!

ATTITUDE Body Baby Lotion with Sensitive Skin: After we wash our cutie patootie, we have to dry off and lotion them up. Again, using a safe healthy brand is so important. This is where ATTITUDE comes in handy once again! Clean smooth healthy baby!

Muslin Baby Face Cloths (5PK): Super soft! I went with a lot of Muslin options (burping cloths, wash cloths, swaddles) I also loved that these were beautiful neutral options.

I also got Baby Face cloths from Snugglebugz, Walmart and Winners!

DIAPER CART / CHANGE TABLE:

ATTITUDE Diaper Cream with Zinc & Oatmeal for Baby with Sensitive Skin: Diaper cream is a must, we all know this- but using a brand like Attitude keeps our babies safe in all the best ways.

Sudocream: I heard this is another amazing option to help with an irritated bum. I guess it got so popular from working so well, adults started using it as skincare!! It blew up so much so (thank you TIKTOK) it was hard to buy off the shelves!! There seem to be many options on the market, but I just think having a few never hurts. Especially because it likely will be trial and error to see what works best! As for adult skincare I have not tried this, so this I cannot speak on!

Eucerin Aquaphor: Another moisturizing occlusive product! I have heard Aquaphor is especially good for the new born stage. Apply this to baby's bum before their first two "poops" AKA meconium for easier removal!

Ubbi Baby Wipes Dispenser: Having a wipe dispenser with a mechanism to stop the wipes from flowing out like a magic trick is a must have! You won’t have that extra hand to stop the wipe flow; and even if you did have a hand available, its likely covered in poop! I have this for our downstairs and upstairs changing station.

FEEDING:

14-Pack Organic Washable Nursing Pads : This was mentioned earlier as an item in my hospital bag. Here is the link again just in case you didn't add it to your cart right away. I am so happy so many came in this set. I packed about 4 pairs in my hospital bag and have the others ready to go. I also have reusable throwaway nursing pads, but wanted these too! Super soft feeling, a travel and laundry bag also come with the set of 14! I am sure many will be used throughout the day in hopes that the nursing bras can stay somewhat clean and dry!

Baby Brezza Bottle and Breast Pump Sterilizer Dryer: For all the bottles, pump pieces, pacifiers and other teething items. This one sterilizes and dries the items for quick convenient use!

Haakaa Breast Shells Nursing Cup: Surprisingly, these have been one of my favourite items! The amount of milk I catch while breast feeding is astonishing! It's great to save every drop of liquid gold! I save this milk for future feeds, diaper rashes or milk baths!

Haakaa Silicone Nibble Tray- Breastmilk Popsicle Mold: I saw this on Instagram and was so excited to order this! Although we wont be using it for quite some time, the idea to me was genuis! This mold slides into the soother feeder. Mix up fruits or breast milk and insert into the pacifier! Limits them from getting bored!

Skincare Mini Fridge: Say Whatt?? Dont worry, this is not in the wrong spot. This item is weirdly one of my best things I have added to her nursery. I saw this idea on TikTok and I quickly thought, "thats smart, but it's not a need". With all things baby everything is so expensive; it gets hard to know if things are a NEED, a WANT or just... not worth the hype. I will go with as much as this is not a "need" (because we have a perfectly fine working fridge in the kitchen), after about night 4 I stopped bringing my milk that I would catch in the haakaa down to the fridge. So I was wasting alot of potential milk for the little one. I use this skincare fridge right beside my bursing chair. I use the Haakaa catch whatever milk I can, I pour it into a bottle that is kept in the fridge and there, just like that I have created a night time feed for the following night. It saved me time, energy and steps. It sounds funny, because I was once that person that thought I will just walk those extra steps, but when you are exhausted every little saving step like this is GAME CHANGING!

Silicone Baby Food Feeder Pacifier: This is the pacifier that you can use the inserts for! The other simple idea you can do is put a strawberry in and freeze it! Perfect for healthy teething snacks!

Light weight Silicone Bibs (3PK): Easy wipe silicone bibs! I ordered the 3 set of Brown, Grey and Carneose (lets say it, cheers to neutrals) but feel free to choose the colour options that suit you best! We ordered this set of 3, I also got silicone bibs from snugglebugz and indigo.

3 Pack Silicone Suction Bowls with Lids: Suction bowls with lids... say no more! I can already tell why and how these are going to be the bomb.com . I only have these three, but I know once we are really on to solids, we will be ordering many more.

Silicone Divided Plate, Cup,Spoons and Forks (2 sets): Another 'for the future' item. Time flies, so why not be ready! Silicone to state the obvious. So when the plate gets chucked, its only food that fly's not glass.

Toddler Long Sleeve Waterproof Bibs: I ordered the flower set, it's so cute! These are toddler size, but I was told the sleeves are an absolute MUST at this stage.

BABY HEALTH:

Safety 1st Safety 1st 3 in 1 Nursery Thermometer - Arctic Blue: I feel like I don't need to write a little blurb about this one! An important gadget to have around the house just to check on little babes.

LEVOIT Humidifiers: Having this in baby's room is important to ensure there is the proper amount of moisture in the air. This helps make sure the moisture levels in the room are optimal. This is known to be good for sleeping, breathing, fighting any colds or infections and their skin.

MOMMY HEALTH:

Materna Gummy Prenatals:Prenatal vitamins are very important daily when pregnant. I liked these options because I LOVE candy, so this was like having a few candies per day! Except these are candies I didn’t need to feel guilty consuming!

LAUNDRY:

ATTITUDE Fabric Stain Remover for Baby Clothes: Stains are inevitable, so having a spot treatment that does the job without damaging the clothes or being harmful for baby is an obvious must. I told you that you will see this brand throughout my recommendations!

ATTITUDE Baby Laundry Detergent Liquid: Of course, here we are with laundry detergent. Safe for baby, safe for environment safe for clothes!

Washer Bags: These I have had pre baby and always loved them for my own special shirts or delicates, but have been loving them for those cute little outfits that are extra special and for all those cute socks, mittens and hats! Let's try to have the washer and dryer eat less of the super small baby items!

STROLLER:

We got our Stroller bundle from SnuggleBugz: We ended up getting the Vista V2 with the car seat, the stroller, regular seat and bassinet.

I purchased the Car Seat (multiple use) cover from The OVer Company

Universal Stroller Organizer by Momcozy: This is to keep our life a tad more organized for those outings and those baby walks! Momcozy is the brand of this one, which was recommended to me by quite a few mommas!

TOYS:

ATTITUDE Toy and Surface Cleaner: Clean those toys (since we know everything gets in their mouths) but especially before use! Depending on the toy you can put it in your sterilizer or do a good wipe with this cleaner! Also, so great for surfaces as well! I can see this being a popular household product!

Bright Starts Oball Rattle Easy Grasp Toy: Ages Newborn +. I don’t know about you, but I have always seen these in family households, or ads on TIKTOK or Instagram. I have yet to see what the hype is about, but these seem to be legit. So, naturally I ordered one too!

NURSERY:

Yogasleep Duet White Noise Machine with Night Light: This was HIHGLY recommended to us! Many noise options in addition to white noise options, great for travel (it is wireless) and its small in size!

Wood Beaded Flush Mount Light: We changed the light in the nursery, and I really do love the outcome! It matches my vision perfectly and was under what I had originally thought I would have to spend! This beautiful light fixture was under $100! This fixture is stunning and can be suitable for many rooms in the house!

Lavana Nala Video Monitor: Other than this one being recommended to us, we also chose this one because it is not connected to wifi or blue tooth. For our house hold that just felt like the safest option. Of course, as alwasy do what is best for your family and situation! This has the ability to have a shared screen for more than one child! We chose this one with two cameras (there is an option of just one camera) one for her room and the other for easy traveling purposes. I also liked that it was not a phone app so I could try and detach from my phone a little. As a business woman I am on my phone alot, so hoping this prevents me from NEEDING to be on my phone more!

Our Change Table is a hand me down from my mother-in-law! It's the same one that was used for my husband when he was a little guy! All I did was change the handles to these Gold beauties!

We have the Keekaroo Peanut Changing pad from SnuggleBugz

Puppy Pee Pads: Have these in your nurery for under the crib and bassinet sheets! Also a great option for when the little one is having naked baby time. This will help prevent any damage to furniture and maybe even prevent some laundry! Mom's this might even be good for you to sit on or lay on for further protection in the early postpartum days.

To organize the diapers, wipes and other drawers of the sleepers and blanket I used these drawer dividers!

8 Pack Drawer Organizer: You know by now that I love having organization as a priority, these were perfect. Affordable, many in one pack, so easy to use creating your own customized size for what you want and need!

I also have The Beige Woven Storage Bin and the Rope Woven Storage Bin for our change stations that hold all the creams purchased from Temu

CRIB:

Graco Ultra 2-in-1 Premium Dual-Sided Crib & Toddler Mattress: This was probably a product I felt very torn between. I feel there is a lot of fear around purchasing the "correct" mattress. Some say that your baby can’t suffocate on some, others don’t say that - WOAH way to make your heart jump out of your chest. Of course you must do what is best for you, your family, budget and wellbeing... but also try not to get too scared of the wording such as that. This is the one we went with.  We got our fitted sheets from Pottery Barn Kids :Meredith Floral Picture Perfect & Meredith Floral All Over Picture Perfect Crib Sheets

We got our Crib from Wayfair : 3-1 Harper Convertible Crib

CLOSET:

My husband (such a handy man) did our own custom built in unit in the existing closet we had in the room. Thank God for him! Materials from HomeDepot

Then I used Dollar Store baskets for hats, mitts, bibs, socks, bows, hair bands etc.

I did however organize the hanging clothing with:

Baby Velvet Clothing Hanger: Gender neutral colour, non-slip velvet clothing hanger for baby girl’s closet! I also love this style of hangers because I find I can fit more clothing in since the hanger itself is not bulky! I have these in "adult" size in my closets!

Baby Clothes Closet Dividers: I am a sucker for organization! I loved this idea and purchased immediately when I saw it! Also, perfect and easy for those extremely sleepy days where your brain isn't functioning, or if you have someone helping you with baby! Easy outlined organization for their clothing and onesies will make changing them even easier! Also, loved the gender-neutral wood style! Have fun looking at the cute baby clothes and organizing by month, I know I did!

MOMMY FASHION: MATERNITY & POSTPARTUM:

Short Sleeve button up long sleeve pants PJ set: Ultra soft PJ set! This set was actually recommended to me, and once I felt it I knew why! The fabric is so dreamy! I ordered black as another suggestion from a fellow momma. She used this set as part of her hospital bag for pre and post birth! So, you bet, this is packed in my hospital bag too!

Ribbed Maxi Dress: Another comfy dress option! I love that there are multiple colours to choose from. This was another dress that I wore one time and knew I would be ordering another colour. This is NOT a maternity dress but I ordered it when 8 months pregnant and it has been perfect! I just went up in size and it’s been WONDERFUL! I also love that this will be an option I can have post baby! This was a recommendation by one of my besties and thank goodness for that! She shared it with me, so, here I am sharing it with you!

3 Pack Nursing Bra's: These may not be momma's fashion, but it is a mommas essential! I went for a multipack (best bang for my buck)! I didn't ned anything sexy, lets face it- its not the time for sex appeal... and I felt black was the easiest grab.

2 Set Button Up Lounge Wear & Bathing Suit Cover: I have been looking high and low for a set like this. Yes, I found something similar on previous sites in the past, but truly the price was outrageous and that's what stopped me! UNTIL I FOUND THIS LITTLE NUMBER!! Why have I wanted this so badly? Well first off, because I have been dying to add more colour to my wardrobe and this is bright pink, so its a yes from me! Secondly, is because this is a perfect vacation and beach set for a bathing suit cover!! The two items can be styled together or separately and I am just alllllll about this set!!! The brand is Ekouaer. I got size small in the colour Rose Red. You can see in this little photo below it was easy to style and wear while pregnant! The material is light enough to wear for an outside summer birthday bash!

Waffle Knit long sleeve & short Lounge Set: Cozy sets are such a must have in my life as of lately. I am comfy and still feeling cute and trendy. Easy to wear, easy to style! Although, this is not a maternity specific set, I wore this set during my pregnancy! Loungewear Outfits with Pockets, seriously say no more! I have the dark green option.

Womens Waffle Knit Lounge Set Short Sleeve and Shorts 2 Piece: Purchased in Rosy Something about waffle knit always gets me. Especially, this cute t-shirt and short set. Perfect for being cute without trying! It says PJ's but I can se myself trotting around the house in this! This was calling my name in so many ways! I bet its calling yours too! I have found a lot of outfits sets I like on Amazon have importing fee's and this one did not! What a score! I ordered a small in the colour Rosy and the brand is wkwmrpet.

V Neck, Sleeves-less Jump Suit: I think you have caught on by now, comfy and cute is the big vibe trending. This onesie I love because you can add a tank under it for summer, or a long sleeve or sweater for winter! It has been so easy to style and wear! Something about a jump suit or onesie, what ever you call it is just so effortless and easy! Hey pregnant ladies, this is a great option for you too! It is stretchy and baggy so it can be along for the journey as you continue to grow! I ordered a size small in the colour khaki. I had the Khaki for a few months and ended up ordering the light green because I wore it SO often!

There is a lot here, but I hope it was helpful! Refer to it as often as you need, and please share it with other mommas! Also check out my personal Instagram and or business Instagram where you can see me sharing and using/featuring a lot of these products! Happy Shopping and I hope you enjoy this resource. I know I would have LOVED something like this! All my recommendations from my peeps in one spot for easy shopping, a less stressed out mind and a little fun read.

Thank you so much for hanging out and shopping with me! I cant wait to hear your reviews!!
